Acclaimed Author Luis J. Rodriguez To Speak at Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center Fundraiser.

San Mateo, CA. – April 27, 2012 – Celebrated author, poet, and social justice advocate Luis J. Rodriguez will serve as Keynote Speaker at “Be the Key: Transform Your Community,” a fundraiser luncheon for the Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center (PCRC) to be held on June 14th, 2012, from 11:30 a.m – 1:30 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Foster City.

“Mr. Rodriguez embodies the very principles and values that PCRC promotes,” says Executive Director Michelle Vilchez. “His story of transformation from a life of violence as a gang member to a life of compassion as a community leader inspires the work we do to empower people, build relationships, and reduce violence in our community.”

Following his address, Mr. Rodriguez will sign copies of his book It Calls You Back — An Odyssey Through Love, Addiction, Revolutions, and Healing, which will be available for purchase at the luncheon.
